As part of my school’s reading program, this week I read “The Enormous Crocodile” by Roald Dahl. This is my book report on this interesting book.

The Enormous Crocodile By Roald Dahl - Book Report

NAME: The Enormous Crocodile

AUTHOR: Roald Dahl

THIS STORY IS ABOUT: Two crocodiles who lived in the biggest, brownest, muddiest river in Africa. One crocodile was not so big but the other was enormous, greedy and bad. One day the enormous crocodile asked the not so big crocodile, “Do you know what I would like for my lunch today”?. “No”, the notsobig One said. What is it asked the notsobig crocodile? The enormous crocodile laughed and grinned showing hundreds of sharp white sparkling teeth. For my lunch today I shall have, he said in a big rough voice, I shall have a plump juicy little child. “I in no way ever eat children” the notsobig one said, “Simply fish”. “Ho ho ho!” cried the enormous crocodile. “I’ll expect if you saw a fat juicy little child swimming through the muddy water, you’d gulp him down in one enormous gulp! “No, I wouldn’t”, the notsobig one said. “Children are too tough, hard and rubbery. They are tough and rubbery nasty and bitter”. “What awful tommy-rot you talk!”.

Later he went to look for children. On the way he saw Humpy-Rumpy, the hippo. Soon he went forward and saw Trunky the elephant. Later after walking a lot he found Muggle-Wump the monkey. Soon he found the Roly-Poly bird. He even told all of the animals about eating children. So he made 4 secret plans and clever tricks. The secret plans and clever tricks are:

1] Being a coconut tree  [Hippo spoilt this plan]

2] Being a seesaw  [Muggle-Wump spoilt it]

3] Being an animal in the roundabout  [Roly-poly bird spoilt it]

4] Being a bench  [Trunky spoilt it]

Trunky spun him so high that he finally hit the burning sun.

THE MAIN CHARACTERS ARE: Trunky, Muggle-Wump, humpy-Rumpy, Roly-Poly Bird and the enormous crocodile.

I LIKED THE BOOK BECAUSE: It was very interesting and fun to read.

RATE THE BOOK: 9 out of 10.
